In this direction, Live Wire- Technical Club, SMS Varanasi has taken an innovative step to organize a ‘TECHNO CAMP-2019’ with the concept ‘NO BARRIER BETWEEN YOU & TECHNOLOGY’. It means a lot that:

2. No Barrier of School/ College you belong, and
3. No Barrier of Course you belong.

Mr. Perry Lang, Noted Hollywood Director, Actor and Writer at School of Management Sciences , Varanasi
Mr. Perry Lang, Noted Hollywood Director, Actor and Writer Visited School of Management Sciences , Varanasi Campus and interacted with the PGDM and Mass Com Students. He discussed about the intricacies and challenges of Film making emphasizing on how Film Director needs to be a good manager first. The programme was organized under the aegis of ‘Box Office’ – The Film Appreciation Program, SMS Varanasi under the guidance of Mr. K.K. Bajpai, Coordinator of the Club. Registrar, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, felicitated the guest whereas Mr. Rishi Raman Singh, Coordinator, PGDM Programme welcomed him. The program was coordinated by Dr. Pallavi Pathak. Associate Professor. Other Faculty members including Dr. Anupam Shukla, Mr. Amitabh Pandey , Dr. Bharat Kumar and Mr. Veeresh Tripathi were also present.
SMS DIGITAL ARMY under the banner of LiveWire- Technical Club at SMS Varanasi organised workshop on Change Your Future with Psych-k. This workshop was organised for MCA students with aim to give the right direction to their actions, reactions and thoughts so that students can attain to their predetermined goal. The key resource person for this workshop were Dr. Rohini Singh Specialization in Child Psychology Guidance & Counselling, and Ms. Rashmi Singh PSYCH-K Facilitator, Psych-K.
Resource person discussed and imparted students that Psych-K is a self-help tool developed by Robert M. Williams in 1988. By using it one can change his/her feelings, behavior and the way they interact with life. We use some specific body postures and movement to bring out the change in people like few minutes exercise.
Our belief creates our reality. These beliefs are mainly subconscious and reason for the long term Programming and it’s also greatly influence human behavior. It require a whole-brain state which is ideal for reprogramming the mind with a new belief, this in turn reduces unwanted stress, thus helping us to achieve new goals and even face new challenges in life with greater confidence and achieve more success in Life.
For example, if there is any health-related issues, while balancing all the inner stress and conflicts that may be supporting the presence of that particular disease will be identified and helped to be released. Once the person is free from the conflict and stress that was supporting the disease, the symptoms will begin to lessen and will appropriate steps the body will be completely healed.
SMS Varanasi Live wire Technical Club organised SMS Digital Army competition where students will get exposure working under different wings in real situations. Main aim for this digital army was to provide a platform to the students where they can convert their knowledge into skill so that they can implement it with confidence. Key skill which will focus and develop student will be, Thrust to know the cutting edge technology, Real application of technology, Team coordination capability, Time management skill, Leadership quality, Communication skill.
Different wings under digital army are, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Computer, Programming, System Analysis & Design, Web Technology, Mobile Application, Machine Learning/ Deep Learning, DBMS, IOT, Web Marketing, Publication Relations. This competition was held from February 04-06, 2019. This competition attracted 108 applicant. Extensive selection process results of all wings as well as SMS DIGITAL ARMY core team have been finalized by LIVEWIRE- TECHNICAL CLUB and . Details are given below:

Center For Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Skill Development (CEISD), School of Management Sciences, Varanasi organized “Jan Samadhan-2019” A Public Policy Contest on the theme “Traffic Problems in Varanasi “. Jansamadhan 1.0 main aim was to develop constructive skill, social consciousness, social problems solving ability in students. This program mainly focuses on traffic problems which is prevailing in Varanasi. In this competition 10 teams registered who were from different stream in SMS Varanasi, Each team was assigned different busiest crossroads in Varanasi and were asked to study the problems faced at respective crossroads for 02 months and come up with constructive solution.
The distinguished panel of judges appreciated Institutes’s endeavors to impart creative and practical knowledge to the students by organizing such programmes and expressed happiness over students’ intellectual capabilities First position in this competition was bagged by Shivani Singh, Pragya Jaiswal, Rahul Agrahari, and Niranjan Gupta. Second position was won by team of Kumari Pratiksha, Mushkan Singh, Tarun, and Aman Verma. Third position was bagged by team Yashi Singh, Vaibhav Singh, Raunak Jain, Anushka and Manali.
Prof. P.N. Jha, Director – SMS Varanasi threw light on the present opportunities and challenges which already exist in form of problems and which needs dire attention.. He congratulated the winners and pointed that such public policy based management competion develop the flair essential for real business management among the students and significantly contribute to their holistic development.
The programme was co-ordinated by Shri Saurabh Srivastava, Assistant Professor – SMS Varanasi and vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Kartikey Singh, Assistant Professor – SMS Varanasi. On this occasion, Dr. M.P. Singh, Executive Secretary, Shri Sanjay Gupta, Registrar, CEISD members Shri Veeresh Tripathi, Dr. Sofia Khan, Dr. Bhawana Singh and all faculty members were present.
School of management Sciences has organized ‘TECH MARATHON-A 16hrs Techno Brain Race-7’ event for the MCA 4th students & WebDx Winners of its Varanasi campus. The focal appeal of this competitive event was that the students had to form a team of four participants to develop a Web Application within a time limit of 16 hrs. The event started on 06th April, 2019 (Saturday) at 05:00 PM sharp and ended on 07th April, 2019 (Sunday) at 09:00 AM. The key features of this event were:

Duration:16 hrs (05:00 PM, 06th April 2019 to 09:00 AM, 07th April 2019)

Problem Statement of the event: In a good academic institution, journals are published. Journal is a collection of accepted research papers in a books format. Sometimes an institution is publishing more than one journal in different areas like management, computer, spirituality, entrepreneurship etc. Each journal has an editor-in-chief and authorizes to manage them. These journals are exchanged by other institutions or subscribed by any institution/ individual and recording of this information mostly done manually.
Students were expected to form an automated J-ESS web based system for an institution which should be capable to do the following tasks:
TASK 1. Manage journals of Institution (add, modify, delete, listing) for example college ‘SMS VARANASI’ has four journals Purushartha, Management Insight, Entrepreneurship and Computing Trendz, this list may increase in future.
TASK 2. Manage authorities of Journals (add, modify, delete, listing) for example Mr. X has authority of Journal ‘J1’ therefore only he will be able to handle all task related his assigned journal.
TASK 3. Manage exchange of journals with other colleges for example SMS VARANASI is exchanging Journal ‘Computing Trendz’ with ‘Journal1’ of College ‘A’, Journal ‘Management Insight’ with ‘Journal2’ of College ‘A’ and Journal ‘Purushartha’ with ‘Journal3’ of College ‘B’.
TASK 4. Ensure that two journals of same college should not exchange with one journal of a college for example SMS VARANASI is exchanging Journal ‘Computing Trendz’ with ‘Journal1’ of College ‘A’ and Journal ‘Management Insight’ with ‘Journal1’ of College ‘A’.
TASK 5. Manage Subscription schemes for journals like separate and combo with one year and two year option for more details you can visit publication section of smsvaranasi website.
TASK 6. Manage Journal subscription from an individual/ institution for example Mr. Y or any institution subscribed a Journal ‘Computing Trendz’.
TASK 7. Manage list of exchanged and subscribed journal details with date of subscription/exchange, date of renewal/ withdrawal, type of subscript.
Event was successfully organized by Associate Professor and Coordinator of LiveWire Technical Club Mr. Ram Gopal Gupta along with Associate Professor Mr. Shambhu Sharan Srivastava. Mr. Debprio Banerjee & Mr. Vijay Yadav provided technical support for smooth conduction of event. Top three winners of the competition were provided cash prizes of Rs 8,000; Rs 6,000 & Rs 4,000 in accordance with their position. Winners were:
APRAJITA: 100 MILLION SMILES Workshop
SMS Varanasi oraganised Self Defence Karate training workshop under Mission ‘Aprajita’ by Amar Ujala and Vodafone Sakhi. Girls from all the courses participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Under the supervision of Registrar Mr Sanjay Gupta. Team of Manav academy of martial art, Divya and Anita taught the students how to safeguard ourself in any kind of adverse situations.
Students were also taught the right way to puch and many other karate technique. Vodaphone sakhi motivated students that in case any person during their travel try to harass or harm them, they should not keep quite rather they should become rebellion and face them with confidence and attitude. Students were also told about the different features of vodaphone sakhi services where they learned how they can send location alert even if there is no balance and internet connection, they also got to know about recharging their phone without giving their number.
